Sea Animal with an immortal power

Have you ever wanted to gain immortality? This may seem impossible but there are certain animals with the power of immortality. Like Ever-growing lobsters, Sturdy turtles, Regenerating flatworms, Tough whales, Radiation-resistant bacterium etc. Today we are going to talk about the amazing Turritopsis dohrnii or commonly known as the backward ageing jellyfish. It has found a way to cheat death by actually reversing its aging process.

If the jellyfish is injured or sick, it returns to its polyp stage over a three-day period, transforming its cells into a younger state that will eventually grow into adulthood all over again. And not just once: they can do it over and over again. Thus, the only known way they can die is if they get consumed by another fish or if a disease strikes the jelly. Only one Jellyfish kind is known to have this remarkable ability:

Turritopsis dohrnii, it was first discovered in the 1880s in the Mediterranean Sea and highlighted as a uniquely enduring organism in the exhibition Life at the Limits.
