Crosswary

The Dwarf cassowary is the smallest of the three cassowary species. The unbefiederte neck is colored metallic-blue and has a red stain at the transition to the black body-plumage. The neck is white up to the eye, before that it is the same dark colour as the beak. The helmet is also nearly black, quite low and extends to the middle part of the beak. Der Bennetkasuar ist der kleinste der drei Kasuar-Arten. Der unbefiederte Hals ist metallisch-blau gefärbt und hat am Übergang zum schwarzen Körpergefieder einen roten Fleck. Der Nacken ist bis zum Auge weiß gefärbt, davor ist er in der gleichen dunklen Farbe wie der Schnabel. Der Helm ist ebenfalls nahezu schwarz, recht niedrig und zieht sich bis zum mittleren Teil des Schnabels.
